PCB Designing and Etching Workshop

PCB Designing and Etching Workshop

The Robotics Club successfully conducted a hands-on PCB Designing and Etching Workshop. The session was designed to help students transition their projects from messy breadboard prototypes to clean, permanent custom circuit boards. Participants brought incredible energy and eagerness to learn the core fundamentals of hardware manufacturing.

Event Highlights

  • Software Design & Routing: An introductory session on designing schematics and routing traces using standard PCB design software.
  • The Chemical Etching Process: A guided, safe demonstration and practical session on transferring designs onto copper-clad boards using the chemical etching method.
  • Drilling & Soldering: Participants learned the precise art of drilling component holes and safely soldering their electronic components onto their newly minted boards.

We are incredibly proud of the hardware our members built. We look forward to seeing these custom PCBs integrated into your upcoming robotics projects!
